Funding opportunities for FiSH Neighbourhood Care

Grant funders that a small charity supporting older people in Barnes, Mortlake and East Sheen could realistically approach — the local ones first, then London-wide and national funders, tagged so you can jump to the part of the service you need money for.

Start with the local funders. They are listed first and shaded green. For a charity of FiSH's size they have far better odds than the national trusts, and these are the ones worth a conversation before anything else:

  1. Richmond Upon Thames – Full of Life Fund — older people, health and wellbeing and social connectedness, from FiSH's own council. Closest match on this page. Closes 3 August 2026.
  2. Richmond Foundation — the only large local funder covering all of SW13 and SW14, so it reaches every part of FiSH's patch. Closes 12 August 2026.
  3. The Barnes Fund — around £328,000 a year into SW13 alone, funding both organisations and individual residents in hardship.
  4. The Victoria Foundation — names accessible transport and mobility aids as funding categories, which is the bus and shopping bus service almost word for word.

How the list is ordered. Local funders first, then everything else, each by closing date with the soonest at the top. Funds with no fixed closing date sit at the bottom of their block. Use the filters and tags to narrow down.

Where this comes from. The London and national entries are the whole GrantFinder fund database as at 28 July 2026, narrowed by hand to what an older people's charity could apply to. The local entries come from two sources: a GrantFinder search on SW13 and SW14 restricted to locally scoped funders, and Richmond CVS's local funders directory plus the council's own grants pages. Both were needed — GrantFinder does not hold records for The Barnes Fund, The Victoria Foundation or the Richmond upon Thames Voluntary Fund, and Richmond CVS's directory does not list the council's Full of Life Fund.

Always check the funder's own guidance before applying. The notes here are a reading aid, not advice, and deadlines move. Richmond CVS offers free one-to-one fundraising support to local organisations — richmondcvs.org.uk.
